Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signaling molecules throughout the body. Some peptide-based medications have well-established medical uses, while others remain investigational or have limited human safety and efficacy data.
At The Center for Fully Functional Health, we approach peptide therapy cautiously and individually.
Our goal is not to prescribe peptides simply because they are popular or trending. We first look at your overall health, symptoms, medical history, current medications, laboratory findings, and treatment goals to determine whether a peptide-based therapy is appropriate at all.

Some peptides are naturally produced by the body, while others are pharmaceuticallymanufactured for therapeutic use. Certain peptide therapies are FDA-approved, while others remain investigational. Research is continually evolving, with emerging studies showing promising potential across a range of health applications.
During your appointment, we look at the reason you are considering peptide therapy and whether another treatment may be safer, better studied, or more appropriate.
When peptide therapy is considered, your clinician may evaluate:
Our recommendations are based on your individual health needs and the treatment options that are legally and medically appropriate at the time of your appointment.
Safety and Regulation Matter
Peptides are often marketed online as supplements or “research” products, but that does not mean they have been evaluated for safety, purity, effectiveness, or appropriate use in humans.
We strongly discourage patients from purchasing injectable or prescription-intended peptides from unregulated online sources.
When a peptide-based treatment is appropriate, sourcing, formulation, pharmacy standards, dosing, and medical supervision all matter.
Because federal guidance surrounding compounded peptides continues to evolve, some therapies that were previously available may no longer be available, while others may become available as regulations change.

A Peptide Therapy Focus Appointment does not guarantee that a peptide will be prescribed.

Our goal is to help you separate evidence from hype and determine whether peptide therapy has an appropriate place in your individualized care plan.
When peptides are appropriate, we want them used thoughtfully, safely, and under medical supervision.

This may include hormones, sexual health, GI issues, weight changes, allergies, thyroid concerns, metabolic health, or other targeted symptoms that need a deeper look.

We take the time to understand your entire health story, identify what's contributing to your symptoms, and create a personalized care plan that helps you restore your health, not just manage your diagnoses.
Not every health concern fits neatly into a list. If you don’t see your symptoms or diagnosis here, learn more about how we approach concerns that may not be listed.
